Cheryl Salvatore
Cheryl Salvatore served nine years in the United States Air Force in the areas of personnel careers and several protocol assignments. She has served as Chief of Protocol at multiple units, which include wing and numbered Air Force levels, both in the U.S. and overseas.
Salvatore served as the Protocol Officer and Executive Officer for the 168th Air Reserve Wing, Eielson AFB, Alaska, and was responsible for all distinguished visitor itineraries, along with all aspects of ceremonies and community events.
As the Chief of Protocol for the 354th Fighter Wing at Eielson AFB, Salvatore was responsible for oversight of Official Representation Funds and Special Morale and Welfare Funds. She also created databases critical to the operation of the protocol office.
During her seven month deployment to Afghanistan, Salvatore directly led over 150 tours for distinguished visitors and provided critical guidance concerning international protocol, practices and cultural understanding. She was the only protocol officer in the area of responsibility that traveled to Forward Operating Bases in support of distinguished visitors and events and was rated #1 Company Grade Officer in the wing for her efforts.
Salvatore has a Master's Degree from Troy University in Business Administration and a Master's Certificate in Hospitality Management from Cornell University. She is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Omaha and of the United States Air Force's Protocol Fundamentals class and Squadron Officer School.
